Mental Health Resources at TMU
There are many different resources which are available to students at TMU. Many of these resources are designed to alleviate academic pressures on students, provide mental health counselling and support, and financial assistance. Make sure to look into these beneficial resources and make use of them.
Academic Accommodation Support works with students to create and implement individualized academic accommodation plans. These include requesting peer note takers, accommodations on how you receive course material, and receiving extra time on exams. The Test Center can also help you reschedule if you have a conflict with an examination date as long as you do so 10 days in advance. Deadline for final exams varies by semester.
The Student Wellbeing initiative covers a diverse set of services to support students at TMU with services such as counselling and medical care. These are some examples of the services provided:

The Health Promotion Program is involved in advocacy, awareness, and education in regards to empowering students. These include workshops and student peer programs.

The Student Financial Assistance initiative at TMU provides detailed information and timelines about various government financial aid programs and aides such as OSAP. For more financial aid, you can apply to hundreds of awards and bursaries available on Awardspring. The Student Life and Learning Support provides students with opportunities and resources to help them succeed in academics and to build friendships with new people. These services include:
